Another crushing defeat for the seconds this time to a youthful Chester le Street side, who made 230 for 3 dec. Geoff Bailey with 53 and Richard Tunney (34) gave the home side a glimmer of hope before they succumbed being bowled out for 170 to lose by 60 runs.

Stockton's dismal season continued with yet another crushing defeat away to championship challengers Tynemouth.
After losing the toss and being asked field Stockton found it hard going against a strong Tynemouth batting line. Who posted a formidable total with only Mark Fletcher who took five for 37 in 12 overs having any success. After the early loss of the inform Stephen Ward, Stockton we always on the back foot and despite some lusty hitting from Joe Savage (42) and skipper Peter Groark (19) were bowled out desperately short of their target.

After the euphoria of the previous week's victory, Stockton came back to earth with bump losing to a strong Sunderland side by 84 runs. Batting first Sunderland declared on 200 for 9 in the 50th over with Mark Fletcher taking four for 56. In reply, Stockton again showed a total lack of application with only Jimmy Ward (34) and Michael Wood (31) offering the token resistance as the visitors crumbled to 116 all out.

Blaydon won the toss and elected bat, but the Stockton bowlers were in top form with the ball, with Ian Cooper unlucky not to take any wickets in his six overs. But with wickets from Baird one for 33, Groark four for 22 and Chris Brennan five for 25 in eleven overs the home side were all out for 109, leaving Stockton 70 overs to get 110.
Things went well from the start with Stephen Ward 38 and Jimmy Ward 42 scoring freely. Stockton did lose 4 wickets but eased past Blaydon`s 109 to secure twenty points for the win.

After a poor batting display against Norton, Stockton seconds visited Gateshead Fell needing a good result. Gateshead won the toss and elected to bat. The Gateshead batsmen looked in total control with Richie Smith (96) and Mark Smith (89) scoring most of the runs, but a fine bowling display again from Mark Fletcher
four for 67 taking three of these wickets in four balls gave Stockton 3 bowling points. Stockton chasing 261 needed a good start which they didn`t get, losing the their first wicket in the third over, Stockton then recovered with innings from Chris Parr (24) and Geoff Bailey (69) and Michael Wood (25) seeing Stockton home for the draw and picking up eight points in this bottom of the table clash.

Stockton lost the toss and were put into bat by Sunderland again Stockton lost two early wickets, but innings from Geoff Bailey (63), Richard Tunney (37) and Lee Mason (27) guided the home side to a total of 193 all out. The Sunderland innings didn't start to well with Stockton bowler Ian Cooper taking a wicket with his first ball of the game, but then innings from Wake (40) and Robson (70) put Sunderland back in the driving seat, Stockton did not give up and wickets from Mark Fletcher two for 59 and Peter Groark two for 43 gave Stockton a small chance of a win but Sunderland secured the win with four wickets in hand.

Stockton won the toss and put Newcastle into bat. The home side used six bowlers with Mark Fletcher taking two for 56 and Mike Wood two for26 being the most effective. Newcastle finished the innings on 184 for 7 with Keith Porter unbeaten on 90.
Stockton hoping for a better season than the last didn't start too well, 8 for 3 wkts after seven overs, but a 106 partnership from Lee Mason (77) and Richard Tunney (52) and a quick fire 23 from Mike Wood, gave the home team a chance of a win, but with wickets falling quickly Stockton had to settle for the draw, finishing 18 runs short on 166 for 7 and picking up 13 points.
